Hi Dean,

I did have a look at your site last night, what version of patrick's
software are you using, the links to his website are dead. Wouldn't mind
a copy of yours that is working, maybe the version I picked up is an
older one. Did you encounter any of the run time errors? The only other
things I can think of are the hardware isn't working, not sure how to
test that or because I've just gone to version 1.6.119 of homeseer, the
plug in needs a tweak.

Cheers,

Keith Y

I use Patrick's Plug-in with a modded CallerID. I do see far more events
and
comms errors than ideal. Essentially I filter these to the point I only
take
notice when the time or number changes. I do this with a couple of
virtual
devices which track date and time. If an event triggers and the Exchange
supplied date/time change compared to the virtual devices, I treat it as
a
"real" event and update the virtual.

more details here:-

My Script which is triggered by each of the plug-ins events here:-

The meteor clearly does some cleaning of the callerid data stream before
passing it to the PC....

This was the plugin I think Patrick developed, if I add the plugin then
close and restart homeseer I don't get the runtime 13 error, but when a
call arrives I get a break command followed by a runtime error 401?

I've also tried the plugin Justin did and this installs ok but when a
call arrives I get the following errors on the log

09/07/2003 17:23:49~!~Speak~!~Welcome to Home-Seer
09/07/2003 17:24:06~!~Meteor Interface~!~Comms error (Framing error)
09/07/2003 17:24:06~!~Meteor Interface~!~Comms error (Break received)
09/07/2003 17:24:06~!~Meteor Interface~!~Comms error (Break received)
09/07/2003 17:24:07~!~Meteor Interface~!~Comms error (Framing error)
09/07/2003 17:24:07~!~Meteor Interface~!~Comms error (Break received)
09/07/2003 17:24:07~!~Meteor Interface~!~Comms error (Framing error)

Anyone any ideas or how are people using their modded callerid units?

Thanks,

Keith Y

Subject: [ukha_d] Caller Id and Homeseer Meteor Plugin

After building the caller ID mod from Jon Payne, ahem back in February,
I've just tried it tonight. When I install the meteor plugin (build10),
which I believe works with this mod, I'm getting a runtime error 13, I'm
running the latest version of homeseer 1.6.119. I've had a quick search
on the homeseer message board but nothing was jumping out at me. I'll
keep looking, but has anyone here experienced this or know how to fix
it.

Thanks,

Keith Y
