If it is responsing with LU01 sounds like it's caching the serial output
for the login somewhere and only sending it out when a new command comes
along.  Try linking the serial link up to another machine instead of the
UCM and seeing what you get on a terminal window.

I am logged in.  I have a logging only account with pin 1234.

I'm sending .. "\x03O!0101\r", ie chr 3 (<STX>) at the
front,
and a CR at the end.  Comfort replies with "LU01" (Login
User 01"). According to the docs, Comfort should respond
with the new state "OP0101", or "OK".
The output does not turn on.
