I have used heat shrink on mine. They are enclosed in a box anyway but no
problems so far. Don't know about epoxy I'm afraid.

Please respond to

Hello,
I have given up trying to find anyone selling to92 transistor sockets
to fit the ds1820 sensors to, so I guess I'll just have to solder
direct to the ic.
To prevent the legs short-circuiting, I will cover them in a blob of
epoxy. Should I buy the expensive electrically insulated epoxy, or can
I cheat and use Araldite, or does that conduct?
Thanks,
