Yes it is set to announce using the zone response "59", which
will
announce the zone type when ever movement is detected in any alarm
state.

I especially like to hear the zone announce in night mode, because
IMO it is at this time unwanted guests prowl the perimeter of the
property for an early morning break in (we have had attempted break
ins at this time before)

For zone announce to work correctly for outdoor detection requires
good quality PIRs and they need to be well calibrated to minimise
false detection.

The zone announcement does get a bit annoying at the weekends when
people are out in the garden - so I'll be looking to implment
a "silence" function to shut her up when she is not
required..(i'll
have to get the manual for that one!)
