Re: Colour LCD with Touchscreen
The questions I get from wifey are
How long is the heating overide got left to run?
Is the heating on now?
When will the kitchen lights go out? (there is an override facility as they
are movement activated).
Is the watering on?
Is the watering set to go on?
How long has the watering been on?
etc. etc.
Basically any question needing an answer cannot be answered from a Pronto.
Something offering feedback is essential. I use a laptop and wireless LAN
or a wireless e-pod at the moment. Not brill but pretty good all the same.

but you can hear the mp3 playing, and you dont want to be standing up to
choose the next one.
heating? well , surely that is best controlled thermostatically, with an
override feature, again on the pronto.
alarm? well if you get some permiter alert then surely this can be
announced
over the keypads (on comfort say).
i am not trying to be controversial, just wanting to understand what the
gig
is.
am i missing something ;-)

Feedback is vital!
I currently use a Pronto Pro, iPaq (with NetRemote and Vinyl), Fuji (with
MainLobby), PC and a Laptop to control my HA setup. I still have a big need
for something wall mounted that's not too big and can always be found
(unlike the Pronto, iPaq etc).
Feedback on one of these devices will give MP3 playing, heating status,
alarm status, Caller ID to name but a few. Loads more where they came from!
