More on PBX's
I've been digging some more into VoIP and PBX solutions.
This chap has written a PBX which uses ISDN feature-phones and
includes H.323 support. Potentially this could provide a very nice
seamless bridge between VoIP, POTS, internal phones and the real
world.
ISDN feature phones (which can be had for around 40-50 quid or so)
can be "commandeered" to allow for provision of central services
- so
they could also potentially be used for HA purposes.
For those that don't have ISDN, with a bit of hacking it might be
feasible to provide a gateway via a voice modem to an ordinary
analogue line instead of ISDN.
It looks like the code is being actively maintained, even though the
docs are a bit dated.
