I don't mean to p*ss on your fireworks but the performance of these
switches
does suck, I have one.
When I was on a 10mbps hub, i used to get about 820kB per sec via netbios
over tcp/ip file transfers. With this switch and good nics I only get
1780kB
per sec. What is worse is- it doesn't even switch properly- using packet
capture you can see packets leaking that should be for other ports.
