Monitors and TV's are generally very willing to 'lock onto' an iffy signal,
where Framegrabbers, VCR etc won't
Another thing to look at is the PSU used with the cameras,
If you havn't already try a decent regulated PSU on a short cable to see if
it makes a difference.
I've seen some cheap cameras that have no PSU filtering caps and the
addition of 0.1uF ceramic and a 1uF electrolytic at the camera make the
difference between an iffy video signal and a passable one...

I've just sat down and configured my Mv1000 and started off by
connecting a XCAM.  This works fine but I also have some of those
cheap response cameras that Homebase once sold and the input from
these it doesn't like and can't detect.  Yet if I plug them straight
into the TV using a RCA-RCA lead I get a picture.

Any one got any clues as to way the Mv1000 does like it when I
replace the lead with a RCA-BNC one.  The lead works ok as the XCAM
will go through it.
