RE: xbox (media player 2.3)

Have you checked out the websites below? They've got some great
step-by-step guides.

http://www.xbmp.de/ has some good bits
under the <HowTo> section.
http://www.xbox-scene.com/tutorials.php
has tutorials for everything you
could possibly want (or nearly!).
And there's always the xbmp manual (!) from
http://www.xboxmediaplayer.de.

I think the answers to all your questions so far are listed there,
including the ones below. And just browsing through has just answered a
couple of nagging ones of my own :-)

[FYI for other xbox users on the list, www.xbmp.de seems to have a
description of how to get an xbox web-server up and running with xbmp -
the dev code's apparently been written now. Xbmp from a bluetooth Ipaq
anyone?! IMO this is the killer app that the xbox media player's been
needing to integrate it with everything else.]

These sites have done a really good job of collecting together all the
basic info, and presenting it in a much better format than this group's
readers would have the time for (no offence to the group intended :-).

Rgds,
Jake.

Many thanks

Do I just expand it and ftp it over and write over my
Current version (2.0) of xbox media player ?

How do I link the xbox to a shared drive on my network ?
Will 2.3 allow me to do that ?
