I googled for a bit, as you do, and found

And another Polish site that I since lost. However they seem to infer that
it was DCT locking, so why not give the Nokia DCT unlocking s/w a crack
before parting with any cash...

Open box, return phone as faulty. REmember, it's up to THEM to prove the
phone was NOT faulty at time of purchase, and I can pretty much guarantee
they can't do that. Also, because of the nature of a cellphone, it may/may
not work where you want to use it... hence, not fit for purpose (can't
make/recieve calls). They should then take it back.

You have to open the box anyway, nothing to lose :)
