Hi Neil

The speakers from Henry's were probably similar to the CPC LS02030
(http://tinyurl.com/uu6d) ones where
the mounting screws are visible.
I've fitted them before but found them very awkward to fit compared to
those with the swing dog clamps.

The price seems to vary sooo much for different makes & models of
in-wall speakers. You can get a pair with decent specs for less than
=A320, car speakers for not much more, and then the more professional
models costing from =A350/pair for the low end ones up to many hundreds of
=A3's for the higher end models.

They mostly look the same (apart from the ones where you see the
screws), so the only real difference should be the sound quality and
reliability. Or have I missed something?

The frequency response of the 8inch ones is not too bad. 60Hz to 20kHz.

I've used the waterproof ones from Henrys (c.=A320 a pair) 5inch in the
bathroom and 6.5inch in my sons bedroon (no reason to be waterproof in
there
I know but at the time they were the only white ones at a good price I
could
find.)

Henrys has a similar frequency response and sound quite good. (I'm
pleased
with them)

I'm thinking of getting the CPC ones for the master bedroom maybe the
lounge
as well...

Just a couple of pence worth....

Hi All
=20
Has anyone ever tried any of the ceiling speakers sold by CPC? One of
their
models are 6.5" 2-way speakers with swivelling tweeters. Pretty normal
specs
for ceiling speakers of that size --> 90dB, power rating of 30W (60W
peak).=20
=20
Search for code LS01280 or --
http://custom1.farnell.com/cpc/search.asp?keyword=3Dls01280
or http://tinyurl.com/usbo
=20
They cost less than =A327/pair! Even compared to the cheapest speakers of
that
size made by Sonance, QED, Russound or Jamo, they are less than half the
trade price. Does anyone know if you would actually hear much
difference?
I'm not talking about driving these with high end kit, but simply a low
power multi-room system, so you wouldn't get that good a quality of
music
anyhow.

TIA
