Sounds like a floppy disc in the drive.
This generally happens when a floppy, formatted in NT/2000/XP but not
bootable, is left in.
If you can't be bothered to rememeber to take discs out (I know i
frequently forget) change the boot up sequence in the bios to boot

menu at startup anyway, just incase you ever need to boot from the
floopy.
