Subject: [ukha_d] Curtains, - getting urgent now...

OK, there are over a thousand people on this list, and I presume all of u=
s=20
have curtains in our houses....

Is there *anyone* who has curtain tracks which fit the following=20
requirements?...

- Can be reverse bent (i.e. bent in both directions to go round inside _a=
nd_=20
outside corners of a bay window)

- Are corded

- Can span 4.2 metres

- can be corded at one side only for the whole track (most tracks this=20
length come in 2 pieces and are corded at both sides)

I Was in John Lewis in Oxford St. last night trying to buy one, and altho=
ugh=20
the bloke there said thay could meet the requirements, he was *extremely*=
=20
reticent about doing so, and strongly suggested that this span, with one=
=20
cord, would be a very bad idea and very likely would not work, or not wor=
k=20
reliably...

I *refuse* to believe it can't be done.... after all, he suggested that t=
he=20
Silent Gliss motorised stuff would be perfect, and meet all the requireme=
nts=20
with no problems, now think about it for a second... take away the motor=
=20
>from
of=20
non-motorised tracks... (I'm speaking to Silent Gliss directly, but I'm=20
waiting for them to get back to me with info).

They aren't the only curtain track manufacturers in the world, so there m=
ust=20
be some other firms out there making high quality curtain track that coul=
d=20
potentially fit the bill...

Anyone got any suggestions/thoughts?

TIA

Paul G.
