Hi Keith,

According to the datasheet, they will accept 640 x 400 at 24.830Khz and
56Hz. It shows that they support up to 20 different types of display
frequency input. I guess the best idea is to try it out and see what
happens. I'll get hold of a LM1881 and give it a try.

Thanks
Dave...

Hi Dave,

If they will accept the scan frequencies of video 50Hz Vert an 15.625kHz
Horizontal, they you can probably use one of John Sims RGBtoPlasma
converters which generates clean H & V syncs for the monitor to lock
to. I
believe there is a notice on the site that some LCD's will not work with
it
as they wont lock to a horizontal frequency less than 31kHz. If it will
lock
to those frequencies, the LCD should then scale the image to fit as it
does
with a lower resolution PC

Another possibility is one of the VGA converters that SCAN ofter sell
designed for displaying video on a PC monitor but I dont know if they
accept
RGB. They might be S-Video or Composite only.

There are converters that will do what you want but being professional
products they cost a lot of money. Might be worth searching for "Line
Doublers" or "Scalers" designed for Home Cinema.

Keith
