Hangs were frequent for me with SMB - now I've switched to XNS, not one
single hang.

Curious,

I have almost exactly the same problems, but only occasionally. Im using
SMB
shares on my server and sometimes I can't get to them from the XBOX, but a
quick reboot usually sorts it out.

And also some games hang, and even more curiously this also started to
happen to me after 'installing' Indy Jones !. I initally thought (and it
may
still be) an overheating issue. I've since moved the XBox from the floor
to
the top of a small unit, where there is much greater airflow around it (It
was sitting on the floor inbetween the unit and a chest of drawers.

Now it has hung again, but only very very very occasionally, nothing to
worry about. I've always meant to check up on overheating problems on
chipped XBoxes with bigger hard drives.
