Frank,

If you are just connecting two PC's together, you need a cross-over cable
between the two.  I don't know what this wizard is he is talking about.
Make sure TCP/IP is installed on both machines and the easiest is to set
the
IP's manually to non routable addresses  - eg 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.2.
I guess you need to run the connection sharing thingy on yuor main PC, but
I
have no experience with that.
A 4 port hub or switch (preferable) is pretty cheap these days and I would
be
inclined to go that route myself to be honest.
Your main machine will need to be switched on if you are using ICS.
