VFD looks way too sexy .... If you can find out where we can buy one from
then let us know...

I've found this old page I wrote last year highlighting how to connect an
LCD via rs232 : anyway I put it up again ... http://www.shaf.net/lcd.html

Other issues - speed of update o... I was gonna write a spectrum analyzer
gimick for the LCD but the refresh rate is way to slow for this... Anyway
as
it stands the above setup has served me well for over a year and with the
backlight is well visible over 10ft.
