Did this for a guy the other day.

We wired his study in a 4mm radial rather than ring.

Went via a pair of 45a Flex outlets side by side in a deep bar box. Linked
together internally.

When he is ready to install UPS, removes links - put input into one flex
outlet and output on other...

Other alternative is to have a small sub board fed from your mains with a
dedicated MCB again cutting the sub boards feed with UPS.

You can get suitable make before break switches which allow you to do the
same as above.

Make sure the MCB feeding the UPS is C rated and that the UPS is big
enough.

When my node 0 is finally complete, I will have 24+ power sockets powering
PC,
CCTV, telephone, etc etc.

There will be a dedicated circuit from mains board to power this room.

Question is, does anyone know how I can protect this circuit using a UPS?
