At PCB level, expect them to operate at around 5-9v. Power usage is
non-trivial,
probably of the order of 10-20mA. Battery models will have some sort of
power
reduction strategy (eg sleeping 90% of every second or whatever). Together
with
the power consumption of your LEDs, you will be consuming batteries pretty
fast.

I'm going to use a few LEDs externally, but they will get power from a 240v
PSU.
