RE: OT - Rio Karma

Work colleague and his m8 bought karmas at the same time.
Worked fine for a few weeks, raved about the features etc.
The one died with an error "bad karma" (seriously)
Two days later, the other died, same thing

Took about 2 months to get a replacement.
IIRC, it's something to do with the HD arm getting stuck 1/2 way across the
platter or something and rio are/were in disupte with the HD manufacturer
about whether it was their fault or a firmware fixable thing.

Dunno the outcome, but I know there were a lot of other ppl in the same
boat
as this guy at work and that it took friggin ages for them to get
replacements too.

Aside from both of them crapping out in a matter of weeks, both he and his
m8 were very happy with them :/
