RE: ADSL contention rates

With all this talk of fast(er) broadband, I've been thinking again about
upgrading my connection to the dizzy heights of 1Mb. What's the consensus
on the best solution, assuming both are similarly priced - a 20:1 0.5Mb
connection, or a 50:1 1Mb connection? Most of my access is during the day,
and I've never noticed any contention on my existing connection. I also
live in a relatively small village, so if contention is caused by local
users, I wouldn't expect that to be a huge problem round my way....
