I think the rating of a CAT5e cable is something like 250-300mA so if you
power each one via one pair each you should just about be ok with (333mA)
per wire.  But as the water pressure is unlikely to allow more than one
irrigation valve on at a time it might be best to have 6 wire 1 to each
valve and the 2 for the ground.

I use Cat5e to power my 12v valve which I think are about 250mA as does Ian
Bird I believe..

I want to connect six solenoid valves for my irrigation system via cat 5
cable.  The total load is 2 amps @ 24volt DC over a cable run of 10 metres.

Will this cable be ok for this?
