RE: Chipped Xbox

It's not a Slayer chip. It's probably an Executer chip (available from
www.baldbouncer.co.uk), they are excellent.
It's the Evox software install (dashboard etc) that running on it, along
with Xbox Media Player or Xbox Media Centre and it was installed using the
Slayer installer disks... :)

Executer and Slayer/Evox are about the best way to go, Slayer can also sort
out the installation of big hard drives, basically installing the complete
Xbox OS onto the new hard drive. As long as you have decent soldering
ability and a set of Torq screwdriver bits it's pretty straight forward...

I just had a demo of an XBox chipped with the Slayer chip and was totally
blown away -

Is this the best or are other mods worth considering - really I want it as
a media centre on the network with a big HDD containing all the audio. I
will never use it for gaming and I can live with popping the odd DVD in!
If
I wanted a remote (bedroom) audio "substation" what is the best
way to
achieve this - SliMp3?

TIA

Tim.
