Remote video software

Now that I have broadband, I was wondering if there was some software
that captures a video input and that I can view remotely over TCP/IP etc.
I would ideally like something that does motion detection and remote
control etc. Something that is low cost is also ideal but for the right
software I would be happy to pay good money for it but I would need to
get a full working demo to ensure it does what I want.
