I don't use Outlook at home, but have to use it at work, and there's a
really good search plug-in called "Lookout" :-

http://www.lookoutsoft.com/Lookout/

which should do what you want (I think - I don't quite follow the
description of what you're trying to find).

In fact, Microsoft have bought this product and will be bundling it with
Outlook in the future.
