The CBus PIR reacts almost instantly, we have one in our hallway - picks up
movement very well.

Not sure how you will acheive the sequence effect though.

Dean.

Subject: [ukha_d] C-Bus reaction time

I need to get a feeling for how quickly C-BUS will react to a PIR input.
What I would like to do is put a small PIR at the bottom and top of a set
of
stairs. When the PIR is activated I then want to turn on the lighting for
the stairs, however I'm concerned that there will be too much of a time
lag.

If I manage to get things working, I might try and be really fancy and turn
the lights on in the order of travel so that when you start climbing the
stair the light come on sequentially going up the stars (and the turn off
sequential). Obviously going down the lights would work in the opposite
direction.
