If you're just looking for voice and IM & data, then Skype would be a
good
choice....

Mark, MS are now trialling a "Web Messenger" service specifically
for this
scenario (i.e. to get around corporate firewalls). I believe it's currently
only in beta, and there *is* less functionality than in the full MSN
Messenger client, but its publicly available, and works entirely through a
browser using only HTTP....
