[OT] Flat Roofs

Sorry for the completely off topic post guys. Tell me to sling my hook to a
selfbuild forum if needs be but here we go:

I need to renew the flat roof on my extension and have two quotes. One
company has recommended a final coating of reflective chippings to bounce
the effects of the sun and has dissed the use of Solar reflective paint due
to the need to re-apply every couple of years. The other company has
recommended a final coating of Solar paint and dissed using chippings
saying
they become less effective over time due to moss, and other factors.

Both are roughly the same (chippings slightly dearer but not
significantly).

Anyone any experience if these and can point me in the right direction?

Confused of Liverpool (Don)

Ta!
