You don't state whether you want 'one to many' or 'one to all' in terms of
output? Also you'll need to make a decision in terms of output quality. Do
you want RGB, S-video, Composite or good old RF? Or you might want RGB in
the TV room and would be happy with Composite for all other rooms.
What you want can be done with a variety of devises but exactly which ones
would depend on your wants.
One thing seems certain and that's that you can distribute your chosen
signal by Keiths KAT5 units over your structured cabling. And once he has
released the IR upgrade that will solve your IR distro problems too.
HTH
Many thanks,
Rob

Hi All,
I'm in a bit of a predicament and could do with some professional
sound advice. We are converting our internal garage in order to
extend our TV room and will be buying a projector and motorised
screen. The projector will be ceiling mounted as will the screen.
My first problem which is causing me to pull my hair out is that as
yet I don't know exactly where my Sky digibox, TiVo, MVP, etc. will
be exactly positioned, it could be that I will house all of that
along with my media server (to stream audio and video recorded to
hard disk) under the stairs to keep it out of site. Then again I may
not! I want the flexability to be able to stick my TV with its
associated digibox, etc. anyway in the room and for the projector to
still get its required feed from any of these units.
Does anyone know of any unit which can take the output of all these
units (including a Playstation 2) and at a press of a button (or
remote control) direct these outputs to any sockets which have
previously been installed in various locations within the room?
The next issue is that I would like occasionally to route the audio
of Sky / Playstation / TiVo / MVP through my hi-fi but again I want
the flexibility of being able to locate my hi fi anywhere in the room.
I'm having Cat 6 installed throughout the house so that the MVP can
be operated in the bedrooms if this of any help in providing me with
some advice.
What I don't want is numerous ugly boxes all over the place but more
some kind of centralised system / multiplexer which can be operated
via RF remote control.
Can anyone help?
TIA
Darren
