I used the phpbbs which is excellent. Luckily, I have a hosting account
with Rapid Hoster and the cpanel software has phpbbs as a simple setup
option - press a couple of buttons and the new BBS is automatically setup
:)

I don't know how easy it is to setup if you're installing yourself though.
