I second the Panasonics though mine is a KX-TCD735E. This has a
built in answermachine in the base unit and the base unit itself can
be used as a speakerphone plus all the other bits and bobs.

I also have a Binatone Eurotel 4200 which is o.k. but one of the
handsets has now packed up. The Panasonic is miles ahead but does
cost 3 times as much.
