This happened to me a few weeks ago, on a surprisingly low value=20
item. I just ignored the "second chance offer", or whatever
they=20
called it, because I suspected a scam, but I did consider offering=20
to buy it at the price the auction would have ended at if the bogus=20
bidder had never appeared on the scene.

Whether this would have been accepted is however a different matter,=20
and you could well end up with negative feedback as the only=20
official agreed price is that as presented by Ebay, and the seller=20
could argue that you underpaid.
