Hi Don,

Looked at the link you gave and it seems to be a different type of
application.

It says

"Synergy lets you easily share a single mouse and keyboard between
multiple
computers with different operating systems without special hardware. It's
intended for users with multiple computers on their desk since each system
uses its own display"

which is totally different to MaxiVista which allows another PC's monitor
to
be used as an extension of the desktop on the main PC.

"MaxiVista is a dual monitor software and can turn your spare Laptop
or
Tablet PC into an extra monitor for your primary PC. Toolbars and program
windows can be moved and extended across both screens as as if it were one
big monitor. Connect up to four PCs via network and enjoy the extended
desktop real estate"

I havent tried it yet but was just passing on the link as it looks very
interesting. There is a free trial available as a download so you dont have
to part with the readies upfront.

Reading through the site I came across this bit. There is a demo video on
http://www.maxivista.com/extension.htm
and at the bottom of the page it says

"If this should not be enough desktop real estate, each of the four
PCs may
have two monitors attached to gain a maximum screen resolution of 12,800 x
1,200 pixels."

As it seems to work with any combination of hardware it got me thinking. I
may be possible to use cheap old PC's fitted with TVout graphics cards to
get multiple TVouts.

As I said, I havent tried this....yet.
