Your other alternative would be to use one of the Mark 2 (*NOT* the Mark 1)
John Sims Technologies RGB to S-Video converters which pass through the RGB
signal (so you can still send that to your TV) and use the S-Video output
from that to feed your amp - the down side to that is the RGB to S-Vid
converter will prolly cost more than your Freeview box! :-D

I have a Thomson DHD4000 Freeview PVR which has a pair of SCART outputs
(on=
e
for the VCR and one for the TV) *AS WELL AS* a 4 pin mini-DIN s-video
connector which operates simultaneously with the SCARTS. They're not that
expensive now and the recording quality on them is superb (records the
actual bitstream) so perhaps that might be worth a look?
