I've just bought an Intel board for my media server (integrated
everything & Gigabit lan) and a P4. Good price with excellent
performance. Works well in my Antec 3U case.

Subject: [ukha_d] Home Media Server PC - Mobo & CPU?

One of my Rackmount PCs died at the weekend :(

I want to buy a new motherboard and CPU and merge this machine with my
media server (currently an ancient P.Pro 200).

I would like a VIA CPU to keep running costs down, but need a
conventional motherboard with slots to allow me to use a gig nic and
additional IDE controllers.

Anyone got any recommendations?

Thanks

M.
