In line with our commitment to continually improve and update the Automated
Home website, we have just re-launched with a brand new database powered
system.

Here are the top 10 new features and improvements on the site!

1.STORIES ARCHIVE
It's now much easier to navigate to old stories. Everything is available
listed by month right back to 1996.

2.IMPROVED SEARCH
The new search facility is much more comprehensive than last one and in
testing finds many more results. In addition to searching stories it can
pull results from the comments fields too.

3.NEW "TOP 10" SECTION
Now you can easily see which are the most read stories on the site. In
addition, with the new voting system, you can rate stories and system will
keep track of the highest rated results.

4.UPDATED AVANTGO PAGE
The AvantGo page now includes pictures and the entire story, not just the
intro text. You'll need to edit your AvantGo setting - changing link depth
to "1" and turning pictures on.

5.DOWNLOADS
The new improved downloads section has more items and is better organised.
I hope to add some more categories and files here over the coming months
too.

6.SUBMIT NEWS
It's now easy for anyone to submit their own story for the site. If you
have an interesting story or press release simply post it to the site for
our editors to consider.

7.FORUMS
Forums have never really taken off in the UKHA community because the
mailing list is so strong. But here's a new set of Forums to try. We've
added a few areas like "X10" and "Buy and Sell", if you
have any suggestions for new forums let us know.

8.USER ACCOUNTS
If you are one of the people that regularly post comments to the site then
take a minute to setup a free account (the same account is used for the
Forums).

9.NEW BACKEND RSS NEWS FEED
You can use the headlines from Automated Home on your own website with the
new Backend feed.

10.NEW LOGO
Meet "Otto" the new logo and mascot for the Automated Home site!

We hope you like the new site. If you have any comments or suggestions
please email us on newsite@xxxxxxx

Thanks!
