Tim,

Check out TLC <http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk>
Direct
(http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Main_Index/Cable_Index/Armoured_SWA/index.h
tml). They sell it by the metre, and although it's about =A31 a metre,
they've got lots of different ratings and can deliver next day normally.

I'm not connected in any way, but have never had a problem with them,
and have got a few metres of this in the ground running my garden
lights.

Hi,

anyone fancy selling me a couple of metres of armoured cable - I am
halfway through digging the mother of all shed bases and will hopefully
finish tomorrow. The new shed is sited next to the lounge wall, so I
only need a few M to go from behind a socket in the lounge to a consumer
unit in the shed. At =A340 a reel it is a bit steep especially as I don't
have any projects planned to use it - Unless I put those doody aircraft
landing LEDs all over the place : )

TIA

Tim.

Ian,

They came from Tesco, and were/are on special, 2 for =A35 IIRC.

And are Status, 11w. but I also got a 13W Eddy screw bulb and that
comes on
normally too.

They still interfere with my IR setup but only for a few seconds.

Regards,

Paul

This is no longer the case, I recently got some new low energy lamps
and the
come on full brightness when they switch on.

Paul;
