Hi all

Well my CM12U failed early this morning Christmas morning. So I had a quick
looking in side to see why it was so hot. The reason it is so hot and you
get that waxy smell is because there is a small transformer in side, which
I
'm assuming is driving the electronics. This transformer is getting very
hot
and there no ventilation at all for the heat to disperse. So either the
transformer breaks down or the heat is killing the electronics. Any way I
think the heat dispersal is not very good and I might consider taking the
next one apart and putting it in a better ventilated box, may be with a
fan.

That my 2 pennies worth.

Jonathan
