RE: [OT] XBOX HD replacement

Yes, that'll work fine, but the new drive will be unlocked so no Xbox
Live.... :)
If you have played any games on it, you may want to FTP your saved game
files off the original drive too.

Subject: [ukha_d] [OT] XBOX HD replacement

This may have been asked before... but

I want to replace the HD in my modded XBOX for a spare 40Gb drive that I
have. I known there are various tutorials around, but none seem to give
and end-to-end view of what to do. I also would like the original XBOX
HD to use elsewhere.

My plan was:

1. Remove original XBOX HD
2. Install 40Gb drive (with cable select)
3. reboot with SLAYER v2.0 & follow instructions
4. Assuming everything worked OK
5. Re-install original XBOX HD and unlock (I would rather do this at the
end to ensure I have a backout plan)
6. Re-install 40Gb HD

Have I missed any important steps?

Regards

Clive
