RE: Network Surge Protection

Matt,

The price does seem good.

I have decided to run all my external cables (Pairs) via a Krone Frame
and use the plug in lightning arrestor.

A quick search found this PDF

Subject: [ukha_d] Network Surge Protection

Just found this on kelkoo whilst looking for node0 bits.

http://www.apcc.com/products/family/index.cfm?id=3D19

Its a surge protector with a difference. It has a choice of 4=20
different modules. Cat5 network, Analogue telephone, RS232 data,=20
and digital telephone (ISDN, T1 etc).

The backplane for the modules is =A322 inc VAT on tradeprice.co.uk=20
with each module costing little over a tenner.=20=20

Sound to me like the perfect way to surge protect every type of=20
cable going into / out of most peoples node0.

What do you think?

Matt
