Re: Run second set of speakers to adjacent room.

The amp in my bedroom has:

- preamp out
- speaker terminals
- tape-out

The speaker terminals drive the speakers in the bedroom.

The preamp out drives a power amp (ie - fixed gain) which drives the
speaker
in the en-suite ceiling

The tape-out drives a KAT5 transmitter that goes to a pre-power-amp pair
(ie - adjustable volume) in the dressing room.

This setup works well. The dressing room amps are also on an X-10 module,
which is controlled by Homevision and occupancy detection, so the music
comes on as soon as I walk into the room.

The next mission on the list is to put my spare processor into the chain -
this has the nice serial connection that the Rocket Science xAP-controller
needs, and the Comms link to control the amp in step. The amp itself is
missing the serial connection, and ONLY has the proprietary comms :-(

I kind of have a bizarre attitude to hifi. There are certain components
that
come up second-hand from time to time, and I buy them... they then go into
storage till I have a use for them :-) One day that Barco RGB switch will
come in useful :-) :-)

Regards,

Mark
