Re: Multi-output amp

Hi Paul,

I plan to use a Rabbit based controller with my own graphics interface
to the SED1335 as the Rabbit software has code to drive this out of the
box. It also has touch drivers which I now have working, but I think I
may just go for a 4 button interface below or to the side of the
displays I have. These are nice Planar EL displays with 160 x 80
resolution. I have quite a few I picked up on eBay but as the interface
can also drive LCD, it would be easy to provide a lower cost option. The
EL displays are around the £150 each mark, new (I got mine for $30 each
from the US)

All modules link together via the CAN bus and I also plan to have
infra-red on them for remote control too.

The main control rack will have CAN bus but I also plan to include
RS485/RS232 for those who wish to control theirs some other way. Full
source code in C will be provided for the Atmel device I plan to use for
those who want to implement there own protocol or for those who wish to
assist in getting xAP or xPL working. (for non-commercial use only)

In fact, as you state, Ian B's nice little graphical display may just be
idea for this. Nice job Ian, by the way. Saw the video for the first
time the other day.!!!

Regards
Dave...
