[OT] PCI riser cards

Hey all,

I am trying to piece together a linux based firewall. I am using an
old 550Mhz machine in a self-built case - however, I need to use 3
PCI NIC's (which are FAR too tall - guess who got thier measurements
wrong!). My only option is to use a PCI riser card. If I install
one (3 slots on the riser for the 3 NICS) into 1 PCI slot on the
m/board will they all work? Will they share the bandwidth of the PCI
slot I use on the motherboard and thus be 1/3 their max speed?

Is there another option, other than rethinking my case?

Cheers,

Matt
