RE: Dreambox
I bought one, last summer and has been using it off an on since then.
My conclusions so far is that it isn't very family friendly, it's a lot of
hassle to get things doing what you want - but for me, that is more
interested in buying and configuring stuff that watching tv it's the ideal
companion.
I haven't been using it for a few months now, since I broke the config and
then lost my broadband at the same weekend. But I plan to get it up and
running any day soon again, so soon I'll be up to speed again and hopefully
able to answer any questions on it.

Btw, it is possible to put in a harddrive, but far cooler is to record
shows
over the LAN to your server. Records the digital videostream, including
teletext and stuff. You can also easily stream the signal to any pc in the
household..
