Re: [OT] ish Maps for Spain

I had the same problem with maps around North Costa Blanca (Altea).
Strangely though the maps of the Costa Brava are much better (and France is
fine).

Not a lot of help I know but if there is something I would be interested.

I did buy some detailed 1:50000 military maps which are quite good, but it
means SWMBO has to navigate - and that does not work -:(

Subject: [ukha_d] [OT] ish Maps for Spain

Anyone know if any of the mapping software available has "decent"
maps for
Southern Spain, specifically the area around Torrevieja?

My iPaq based Navman setup (running Smart ST Pro 2.0) was complete pants! -
it just about knew of the existence of the AP (motorways) and A roads, but
completely naff-all about urban roads, - even roads which I *know* aren't
new....

I've since checked Microsoft Mappoint Europe 2002 for the same region as
well, which seems similarly lacking... :-(

I'd just like to be able to find my way between my parents house and my
sisters house without getting lost!!

Failing anything having decent map data of the area, is there any
navigation
software that can "learn" a route by driving it (following my
sister!), and
recording all the turns/positions etc. and then be able to play it back
later?

TIA

Paul G.
