As others have mentioned, Freeview boxes will be cheaper than analogue
tuners
and will give you the advantage of widescreen.

Also if you choose from the SAGEM range of boxes that have VCR sockets you
can
configure them to give S-Video out of the VCR SCART at the same time as
getting
RGB and Composite from the TV SCART.
