Home LAN - IP Ranges

My home LAN is currently on the range 192.168.0.x (as I=92m using Windows
ICS), but this has meant I=92m unable to VPN to work as it uses the same
range. With ADSL arriving in a few weeks time I=92ll be taking the
opportunity to change my home LANs IP range to overcome this.

I=92ve no understanding of Subnets, but from what I read a =93class C=94
IP=
range
allows 254 hosts on each=A0of 2 million networks. Ample :)

So, I was planning to use 192.168.1.x at home, until James H mentioned it
might be a good idea to pick something more like 192.168.123.x or whatever
so I don't clash with other LANs I might want to VPN to in the future.

Anyone got any comments before I start changing IP addresses on TiVos,
Xboxes, switches etc?

Thanks

M.
