A combination of the 2 would be good :) Especially if you put some
internet enabled CCTV on it, with email alerts to those who sign up.

Of you could try B&Q, I know I have seen these kind of things there in
wood. You 'plant' then and can put chains or ropes off them, I thing
they are the thing you mean!  They sell them loose so you should have no
probs getting 5 (if they stock them!) dunno about prices though, I was
looking at normal fence posts at the time... maybe worth giving your
local store a call?
