Subject: [ukha_d] disk drive cooling

Hello. I was inside my case the other day and touched my HD. Ouch! It
was very hot to touch. I have a second drive that is connected but not
used (yet) and that was just as hot, even though it was sitting doing
nothing.

What programs can I use to monitor the temperature? I seem to remember
a thread here about smart drives reporting their temperature. What
temperatures are bad?

More importantly, which hard drive coolers do you recommend? I have
searched and found the coolermaster ones. At least they are a name I
have heard of, but they are a bit too trendy for me: flashing lights
etc. I just want something to keep the drives cold, not anything
pretty to look at.

Thanks.
