RE: Change Board Help - its easy

Replacing the MB / processor is easy with win2k

OK following steps:
1. First stop anything autorunning when booting
2. On old server insert win2k cd and perform an upgrade from within
win2k
3. Just when it asks for a reboot, reboot, but switch the server off
4. Swap the MB and processor
5. Start the machine and let the upgrade complete, it will redetect all
hardware etc / software but keep ALL existing settings

This method works and is the official recommended way by Micro$oft on
upgrading hardware. I have done this many times and it is fine.

BTW, I am also an MCSE and all that

Aashram, if you want more help, e-mail me off list.
